About Birthing Unfiltered

We are a proud female veteran-owned business, founded by a dedicated mother with a distinguished career in medicine. Our founder is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, bringing a unique blend of medical insight and compassionate advocacy to her work. She combines her extensive professional background with a healthy dose of sarcasm, fiercely advocating for every client to navigate labor and parenthood on their own terms, doing things your way.

Meet Korin

I’m a mother of two, the oldest of seven siblings, and someone who’s spent most of my life taking care of others—long before it became my profession. I’m an Army combat medic veteran with years of experience working in a variety of healthcare roles, both inside and outside of hospital settings. Service, advocacy, and calm under pressure aren’t just skills I learned—they’re part of who I am.

I’m known for being a little sassy, incredibly bull-headed (in the best way), and fiercely committed to the people I support. I don’t shy away from tough conversations, and I believe informed decisions lead to empowered experiences. I’m always eager to learn, constantly thirsty for knowledge, and committed to growing so I can better serve my clients.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outdoors—fishing, breathing in fresh air, and resetting my nervous system the same way I help others do. I bring that grounded, no-nonsense energy into everything I do: honest support, evidence-based care, and unwavering advocacy.

If you’re looking for someone who will stand beside you, speak up when needed, and keep things real—I’m your person.
